1921 - Born in Budapest, Hungary
1939 – Graduated from high school and drafted into various forced-labor battalions in Hungary
1944 – Forced to work in forced-labor in Yugoslavia and miraculously escaped a massacre by the Nazis. His entire family was murdered in the Holocaust.
1945 – He settled in the city of Szeged, Hungary, studied French and comparative literature, then worked as a writer and journalist. Married Shoshana Roman.
1946 – Left Hungary with a Zionist group and worked for a time in a displaced persons camp in Germany. He then moved to France and settled in Paris until 1947 where he studied at the Sorbonne and contacted the French branch of Lehi (the Stern Gang).
1948 - Immigrated to Israel on the illegal immigrant ship “Marathon” and worked as a caricaturist in the Lehi newspaper Mivrak. He was arrested and jailed for two months after the assassination of Count Folke Bernadotte.
1949 – Worked as a painter, caricaturist and journalist in Dvar Hashavua and Ashmoret. His daughter Daniela was born. 
1951-1953 – Served as chief graphic editor and caricaturist in HaOlam Haze. In 1951 he created the character “Srulik”.
1953-2000 – Had a daily political caricature section in Maariv and also published in other dailies such as Uykelet (in Hungarian) and the Jerusalem Post.
1957 – His son Yoel was born.
1961 – Solo exhibition of caricatures in the Israel Trade Fairs & Convention Center, Tel Aviv.
1967 – Joined the IDF and documented the entrance into East Jerusalem.
1968 – Moved in with life partner Tova Fredo, an actress from Habima Theatre.
1971 – Was appointed a member of the Maariv editorial staff.

1976 – Volunteered for service in the Israel Police as head of the Civil Guard.
1981-1983 – Served as cultural attaché to Israeli Consulate in London.
1983-1987 – Member of the Board, Member of Plenum and Chairman of Drama Department in Israel Broadcasting Authority.
1993 – Awarded the Yakir Tel Aviv Award.
1998 – The Srulik character appeared on an illustrated stamp in commemoration of israels fifty years of independence.
2000 - Passed away.
