The exhibition "Heroes" presenting the work of Joe, Adam, and Andy Kubert, invites comic book lovers in Israel on a journey to another time dimension. For the first time, we are presenting at the Museum a comprehensive, unique, international exhibition showcasing the work, spanning several decades, of some of the most important comic book artists in the world.

It is impossible for the exhibition, or the catalogue before you, to contain the vast scope of work created by Joe, Adam, and Andy Kubert. The process of choosing the pieces was a long, complex, and fascinating one. We repeatedly discovered the significance of the creative artist's place in the world in which he works, and the extent to which a single person can pave the way in which he engages in his art, how it expands the boundaries of creativity, and its significance for the community of artistic creators in the field. The mark of the Kubert family on the international comic world is evident in every issue, story, or book published in recent years. Their immense sensitivity to the art of storytelling, as well as to the art of drawing, has transformed the world we know into a professional and accurate, yet also human, sensitive, and personal one. The creators of comics, like the heroes created under their pencils and brushes, play an important role in the stories comprising modern traditions. The new hero is not caped, nor does he possess superpowers or super-weapons.
He is equipped with a pencil, a brush, and a stylus.
