During the upcoming summer, the Israeli Cartoon Museum will exhibit one of the most important Comics exhibitions in Israel, if not in the entire world: "Heroes". The comprehensive exhibition will include works by Joe, Adam and Andy Kubert. For the first time the entire museum will be devoted to one exhibition only, which will display original drawings, texts and films.

The Kubert family, for those who are not avid comic readers, are a living legend. Joe Kubert, the head of the family, is one of the pioneer comic artists, and is still spectacularly active and relevant. Joe Kubert, an American Jew who creates comics for the last seventy years, works for the last few years with his two sons, Adam and Andy, both are two of the most prominent comic artists in The United States.

The exhibition, which aims towards a large age spectrum, will include a glimpse to the Kubert's fascinating world. In addition to interviews with the artists, the exhibition will include comics from the early 1970's for the grownups among the visitors: Tarzan- King of the Apes, Tax the Lone Ranger, The Legendary Hawkman – all created by Joe Kubert. Alongside will be displayed the outstanding graphic novels "Yossel" and "Joe Gangster". Younger visitors will enjoy Adam and Andy's works, such as Batman, Superman, X Men, Wolverine, The Fantastic Four and many more.

Joe and Adam Kubert will both honor the exhibition with their presence. They will participate in several events, such as the opening night, a symposium of the Cartoon Museum and Holon's cinematheque, and will also take part in the "Animax" Comic Festival.

More information about fan meetings and events will soon be published.

Curators: Joe Kubert – Dorit Maya-Gur. Adam and Andy Kubert – Yuval Sharon.

Joe and Adam's visit is sponsored by The United States Embassy in Israel and Mishkenot Sha'ananim, Jerusalem.
