Comic artist and illustrator Zeev Engelmayer, presents collages, illustrations, and text sheets in a particularly juicy exhibition on Jewish topics – Jewish festivals, the Song of Songs, “Who is a Jew?”, and Thoughts on Gefilte Fish. Visual allusions to Jewish culture fuse with movie stills of the 1950s. This blend of materials is presented to the spectator in Engelmayer’s distinctive language – wild and refined, lofty and low, served in a sauce of spicy anarchy and spiced with mischief and defiance.
