“Bearing Teeth”, a caricature exhibition, will be presented as part of Design Year in Holon on Dov Hoz Blvd. between June 10th and August 21st.
The exhibition began as a competition, initiated by Dr. Gilad Fiskus, dentist, who called for all international associations of caricaturists to participate in an international prize- winning contest on the topic of dentists. His aim was to collect caricatures from all over the world in order to create an international bridge that would connect people through humor- filled art on this painful topic.
Dr. Fiskus was taken up on his idea- more than 800 caricatures were received from professional as well as amateur artists from 50 countries around the world including Turkey, China, Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and more. Everyone responded to the competition with enthusiasm.
After the Competition’s Panel of Israeli Judges reviewed all entries, 12 medals were awarded, with Angel Boligan from Mexico winning First Prize for the following caricature.
The exhibition will present nearly 70 selected caricatures along Dov Hoz Blvd. in Holon, beginning from the Ayalon Exit and ending at Struma Square.
